This print depicts what is often referred to as The Alchemist's Hand or a Mystic Hand, and is often found in esoteric manuscripts and historical literature pertaining to the practice of alchemy. The five symbols above the fingers as well as the fish in the palm of the hand represent various elements of the processes in alchemy.
